Taconite是一个基于J2EE的框架，可以利用这个框架来简化Ajax开发。Taconite包含一个客户端JavaScript包与一组能自动处理Ajax请求并生成动态内容的自定义JSP标签。

与其他框架不同，Taconite同时还可以被用在很多服务器端技术，包括Java EE，Dot Net， Php 等

官方提到：
Taconite 1.0 is released! This release is quite similar to the previous releases. The debugging output has been improved, and you can now embed your own XML tags into the standard XML response, which can then be processesd using the postRequest function. There is a new setQueryString method which lets you create your own query string and set it on the response, which can be useful if you want to sent something like JSON to the server.
